Episode #14 – Rewards in Gamification
After an unplanned two weeks break (due to train delays and too much work) the beloved podcast Gamificationfredag is back with an all english episode focusing on the topic rewards and rewarding systems in gamification.
Swedish Chef (Or kock as we say in swedish)
The episode is in english mainly as a flirt with An Coppens of Gamification Nation (who was the main organizer of GWM Stockholm 2015) but also as an attempt to reach an even bigger audience on our way to stardom (top of the Itunes-list, category education technique) also maybe be heard by our other gamification heroes around the world such as Yu-kai Chou, Andrzej Marczewski (interviewed on episode 12), Gabe Zicherman, Amy Jo-Kim and the likes of these guys.
We also bring on the wisdom of the great Ola Janson of Awesome Group who will be a regular segment of the show called ”Vi ringer Ola” or as the swedish chef would say ”Let’s call schmudi-budi Ola”.
We apologize for bad sound. We compensate with good content. And the longest episode in our history (for which we blame Oracle Ola who unlike us talks a lot).
On this episode we talk about points, badges, t-shirts, marshmallows, simborgarmärket, mucklor, chore monsters, toy-yodas, porsches, class craft, food, smart clothes, ricoins, avalanhce, inspiration company, headache, swedish cocks, school, hooters, timing, conversion, last episode, agents and personalized rewards.
OLAS NORMALITY GAME >> PLAY NOW >> WIN t-SHIRT!!! EXTRA REWARD!!! SUPER-SIZE
Here’s what: The more of you that participate the more points each and everyone gains. You can’t do dick shit with those points but one lucky bastard wins a pretty t-shirt the size of a tent!
Here are the rules:
1) Answer these 7 questions about gamification
2) If say7 people give the same answer to one particular question (for example ”VOLVO” to the question ”what’s the most popular swedish car”) then each of these 7 people are awarded with 7 points each.
3) He/she who scores the highest total will eventually win a Large (or X-Large) Gamificationfredag-t-shirt.
OUR SPEECHES FROM GAMIFICATION WORLD MEETUP SCANDINAVIA (9th Of May)
We thought we would put up the video from the Meetup, but its seemingly gone…
You’ll just have to imagine the greatness. Here’s my presentation about school anyway (Text in notes section):
